Erik started filming at the age of twelve. His home made horror and fantasy flicks made it to local and international television.
During his study graphic design at the academy of arts Erik started working for Dutch television, creating a series of animation films, live action drama and documentaries, always using a variety of styles and techniques. At that time kids were well familiar with series like JEROENTJE, THE LITTLE MAN IN THE RADIO, and BUSH BEASTS.
After graduation Erik continued in the field of children television creating e.g. the popular series SAUSAGE DOG TITUS. He wrote, animated, directed, composed and performed this film noir opera.
Erik is well experienced in every aspect of filmmaking, from camera operating to high tech computer animation, from film scoring to producing.
On the award winning animated short film VENT Erik collaborated with the creme de la creme of the Dutch jazz scene. After THE PHANTOM OF THE CINEMA he is now directing PECKER.
Erik is member of committee at GAME FUND.
